Ara Jeannine "Ginger" PaullJune 9, 1945 - July 10, 2015Ara Jeannine "Ginger" Paull passed away on July 10, 2015 at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Nampa, ID.Ginger was born on June 9, 1945 in Pocatello, ID to Don C. and Jean (Gravely) Detton. She was the oldest of their five children. Being raised on the family ranch in southwestern Montana, she enjoyed the outdoor life of riding horses, raking during the haying season, and being an all-around "tom boy" with her younger sisters.She and Willis Kingsbury "Bill" Paull Jr. were married on February 4, 1963. They were blessed with three children, Susan Ann, Willis Kingsbury III "Billy "(deceased shortly after birth) and Michael Arthur. They later divorced.Ginger attended grades 1-12 in the Lima, MT public school system. She resided in Los Angeles, CA on two separate occasions, in Burlington, VT, and Augusta, GA, before moving to Nampa, ID in 1992. She was employed in Georgia and later in California as the director of financial aid for Phillips Business Colleges. While residing in California she met life-long friend Bertha Newman. After relocating to Nampa, Ginger enrolled at Boise State University as a fifty-year old freshman. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree in elementary education. She taught in the Melba School District retiring in 2014. She dearly loved teaching children, and they brought her tremendous joy. In one of her proudest professional accomplishments, Ginger was recognized as the Melba School District Teacher of the Year in 2007-2008. Ginger was known for her sense of humor, eternal optimism, and her natural ability to make friends wherever she went. She loved to travel with the coast of Oregon being one of her favorite destinations. Ginger was preceded to death by her parents, Don C. and Jean Detton, her infant child W.K. "Billy" Paull III, sister Donna Jean Kast, infant niece Cindy Jean Detton, and special friend, Bertha Newman. She is survived by daughter, Susan Paull (Robert) of Nampa, ID, son Michael Paull (Donya) of Marietta, GA along with granddaughters, Meghan Augsbury and Morgan Buchanan of Nampa, ID and Ella & Ansleigh Paull of Marietta, GA. Surviving siblings are Katherine Schuler (John) of Dillon, MT, Deborah Harrison of Corvallis, MT and John Detton (Renea) of Dillon, MT. and numerous nieces and nephews.Services will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Melba Elementary School at 11:00 a.m. with a celebration of Ginger's life with a reception to follow. Internment will follow at Canyon Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, ID. Arrangements are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.
