Antonia G. Padilla, 95, a resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband: Blas Padilla; her parents: Candelario and Adela Gallegos; sisters: Pita Duran, Lola Gallegos, Josefita Martinez; a brother: Cleto Gallegos; a great-grandson: Noah Ortiz; a brother-in-law: Sabino Padilla; and a sister-in-law: Christina Gallegos.She is survived by three daughters: Carmen Martinez and husband, Pete, Lucy Mender and husband, and Ale, all of Las Vegas, and Dorothy Vigil and husband, Filio, of Albuquerque; grandsons: Shawn Martinez and wife, Becca, and Shane Martinez, all of Las Vegas, and Jeremy Medina of Roswell; granddaughters: Shirley Medina, Debra Medina and husband, Justin, and Leslie Mender of Las Vegas, and Darla Thuber and James of Alamogordo, great-granddaughters: Kaylynn Ortiz, Raeann Archuleta, Kiana Mender, Avah Martinez; and great-grandsons: Kenny Yara, Seth Mender, Malchi Baca, and a baby on the way; brother-in-law: Albert Padilla and Mary Jean, Arthur Padilla and Connie of Albuquerque; a special sister-in-law, Caro Vigil of Santa Fe; a goddaughter: Gloria Killan of Arizona; and numerous nieces nephews and other relatives.Antonia was born on March 13, 1920, in El Porvenir to Candelario and Adela Martinez Gallegos. She was united in marriage to Blas Padilla in 1944 in California, a relationship that lasted 58 years. She enjoyed embroidering and going to yard sales. She enjoyed having her grandchildren around and dancing and listening to music. Cremation has taken place and services will be held form Our Lady of Sorrows Church beginning with a rosary at 7 p.m. on Thursday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday. The interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery in El Porvenir. Honorary urn bearers will be her granddaughters: Shirley Medina, Debra Medina, Leslie Mender, Darla Thuber, Avah Martinez, Kianna Mender, Kaylee Ortiz, Janice Yara, and Raeann Archuleta.
