Anton "Tony" Allen KuhlmannAnton "Tony" Allen Kuhlmann, 41 of Yuma, AZ passed away on Dec. 2, 2016 in a motorcycle accident. He was born on May 25, 1975 in St. George, UT to Peter F. and Susanne Kuhlmann. He spent his childhood in the close knit community of Ivins, UT, where he was a member of the LDS Ivins 2nd Ward. In July 1993, after graduating from Dixie High School, he joined the Utah National Guard where he served with the Battery Bravo 2nd Battalion 222nd Field Artillery. He also worked for the Guard as a communications and information technology specialist at both the Draper and St. George armories. As a member of the 222nd he was deployed 3 times, serving 2 tours of duty in Iraq. He also was acknowledged for his service with multiple service awards and he qualified as an Expert Marksman in multiple weapons systems. After retiring from the military in 2014, Tony moved with his family to Yuma, AZ where he began pursuing two of his passions, working at Cocopah Speedway and studying for a degree in nursing at Northern Arizona University-Yuma. Tony was a very loving son, brother, father and uncle. He enjoyed life and spent a lot of time outdoors kayaking, hunting, and riding motorcycles. He was a very passionate person who excelled at any hobby he tried, and he tried many including photography, honey farming, falconry, welding and cooking. Whether as a volunteer
firefighter, a soldier, a friend or an aspiring nurse, he loved to serve. His great sense of humor kept all those around him laughing. He is survived by his wife Jennifer, 8 children, Jaide Parslow (Chad), Derrick, Joshua, Jordyn, Liberty, Anton Jr., Samuel, Mielle; 4 step-children whom he loved as his own, Tiffiny and Eduardo Simon, and Joseph and Ian Hernandez; granddaughter, Kimber Parslow; his parents, Peter F. and Susanne Kuhlmann; Grandparents, Anton and Lou Ann Kuhlmann and Jerry and Janice Law; Siblings, Bridget Gutmann (Brad), Candice Vice (Garrett), Peter J. (Rachel), Tiffany Martineau (Tad), Kelli Jo Hall (Kendell) and 15 nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his son, T.J.Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1:00pm at the Ivins LDS Chapel located at 15 North Main, Ivins, Utah. There will be a viewing on Friday Dec 9th from 6:00 to 8:00pm, and Saturday Dec 10th beginning at 11:30 to 12:30pm at the same location.
