Anthony Peter AgnelloAGE: 72 • KeyportAnthony Peter Agnello, "Tony," 72, of Keyport, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. He was born on July 17, 1944 in Passaic, where he also grew up. In the early 1980's, Anthony moved to Monmouth County, and was currently living in Keyport. Before retiring, he worked as a self-employed handy man. He was also a proud U.S.
Army veteran, having served during the
Vietnam War. Anthony was the Quarter Master of the Keyport
VFW Post #4247. In addition, he was a foster parent for over 25 years, helping many children along the way. He was predeceased by his parents, Rosario and Philomena (Casteline) Agnello, and his beloved wife, Joan Agnello. Anthony is survived by his loving son, Josh R. Agnello and his wife, Jaclyn, of Cliffwood, and his dear sister, Luma Bernstein of Galloway. Anthony was also a cherished uncle, cousin, and a friend to many. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Hwy/Rt. 35 N., Hazlet. In respect of Anthony's wishes, he will be privately cremated. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2017 between the hours of 1 and 6 PM, at VFW Post #4247, 146 3rd St., Keyport.
