Broadway, Annie Lois HarrisonOur gentle, precious mother, Annie Lois Harrison Broadway, took her last breath in this life on Friday, November 18, 2016, to breathe eternally in the arms of her Heavenly Father. She was born on March 9, 1923, in Eupora, Mississippi, to her parents, J.E. and Minnie Harrison, who preceded her in death along with her two brothers, Lonnie Harrison, Elzie Harrison and two sisters, Jeannie Harrison and Lettie Re Roberts. She was also preceded in death by J. Herman Pitts, the father of their three daughters, Peggy Pitts Darby, Barbara Pitts Lindsey and Betty Pitts Gautney, by a son-in-law, Thomas E. Darby, her late husband, James Broadway and by her loyal little companion, "Ruffles". She leaves her devoted daughters and beloved son-in-law, Bobby Joe Gautney, all the beautiful memories that were made between each of them, the enormous love that will sustain them as they reflect upon and cherish them forever. Her seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, along with numerous nieces and nephews will also remember the love she shared with each of them. As a young child, she made a lifelong decision to accept the Lord as her personal Savior, attending many churches and teaching Sunday School classes throughout her adult life. She has been a member of Eastmont Baptist Church since it was Second Baptist Church downtown. She used her God-given talents and self-taught skills to support her family and friends whenever needed. She set an example of unselfish love, courage, faithful friendships, strength and perseverance during her 93 plus years on this earth and gave credit for her longevity to God for giving her a servant's heart and allowing her to use it to help others.Visitation for family and friends will be held at White Chapel on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Graveside services and burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, conducted by Mark Loudermilk. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons Jeff Lindsey, Drew Lindsey, Dillon Lindsey, Josh Fondren, Ted Darby and nephew, Bobby Roberts.
