Anni Moller DukeMrs. Anni Moller Duke of Pensacola passed peacefully on March 29, 2017. Anni was born on July 8, 1933, in Copenhagen, Denmark. She grew up to become a successful culinary chef. Anni was a wonderful story-teller, and one of her favorites she was the only woman of 40 men at the elite Copenhagen Hospitality College in Copenhagen. During her years in Denmark, she became a successful pastry chef, training in France, Italy and Switzerland, helping her land a position at the acclaimed hotel D'Angleterre. However, her dreams were too big for Denmark and she chased them all the way to America in 1955. Soon after her arrival, she met the love of her life, Harry Duke. Together they traveled the south as a team, where he managed country clubs, and she was his right hand woman catering the events. While in Jacksonville, Anni catered many weddings and sporting events, including the Gator Bowl. Majority of she and Harry's careers were spent between San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville, and Scenic Hills in Pensacola with their three children in tow. They retired in Pensacola in 1995,where Anni had time to tend to her camellia garden. Together they loved great food, entertaining, and golf. She was preceded in death by her parents; Agnete and Hans Oding; her husband of 47 years Harry William Duke; sister Tove Gerder and brothers Leif, René, and John.
