Anna B. "Sue" Swinney 89, passed from this life to her heavenly home on December 01, 2016, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, after a lengthy illness.She was born on April 16, 1927, to D.C. and Irma Cummings Hill, in the South Prentiss Community. She was named for her maternal grandmother, Anna Belle Raines Cummings, who nicknamed her "Sue". She was a longtime member of Harrisburg Baptist Church. She worked for 25 years in the garment industry, including Blue Bell and Lucky Star Industries. Before her health failed, she enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. She loved watching NBA games and knew all the players, as well as working crossword puzzles.A parlor room service for the family will be at Waters Funeral Home on Saturday, December 03, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jay Stanley officiating. Burial will be in the Kirkville Cemetery in Itawamba County.She is survived by her daughter, Relda Fugitt (Ed); granddaughter, Stephanie Wilson; great-granddaughter, AnnaJae Pappa; two stepdaughters, Maurice Gibson and Helen Wilburn; five step-grandchildren, Chuck Wilburn, Jenny Johnson, Tim Breland, Heather Burnette and Chip Gibson; five step-greatgrandchildren, two of which were very special to her, Jordan and Olivia Wilburn; many nieces, nephews and other family whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Maynard Swinney and Horace Long; two granddaughters, Beebe Wright and Bonnie Wilson; one infant son, Bobby Gerald Long; four brothers, Lyle, Forrest, Lloyd "Shorty" and Dean Hill; two sisters, Margrete Burson and Imogene Baxter.The family would like to thank the Sanctuary Hospice House West Wing for the loving care given to her during her illness.
