Angela Johnson, 62, of Chicago, Illinois, passed on September 13, 2020. Angela was born on September 11, 1958 to the union of Percy and Della Johnson. She was the 3rd of 4 children under this union.
Angela accepted Christ during her teen years attending Star Light St. James Baptist Church on the far south side of Chicago, IL. She ultimately renewed her faith in Christ during her early adult years at Christ Universal Temple (Johnnie Coleman) until her later adult years.
Angela attended the Chicago Public Schools and graduated from Christian "Fenger" High School in 1977. She went on to attend The University of Illinois at Chicago (aka "Circle Campus") an earn a degree in Medical Administration. Futhermore, Angela went on to work for the American Medical Association in downtown Chicago for several years before going on to work for State Line Energy power plant in Hammond Indiana as a Human Resource Manager until they closed 2011. Angela subsequently ended her employment at the Victory Centre of River Oaks assisted living facility in River Oaks, IL until she retired in 2018.
Angela was indeed a fun loving person who loved to travel and fine dining. In addition she had a since of humor that could brigthen up the darkest of any low moments. Angela was also an extremely gifted, intelligent and articulate indiviual who knew how to navigate threw all the adversities of her prosfession and personal life with ease.
On Sunday, September 13, 2010, Angela left us to go home to be with the Lord.
Angela leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving son Rashawn (Danielle), brother Percy III (aka "Tony"), grand children Rashawn Jr, and Shauna to go along with nephews (Anthony, Eddie Jr, Peter and Brandon) and nieces (Christel, Maria, Consuela and Brianna). Preceeding her in death was her father Percy II, mother Della Mae along with sisters, Mary Lee (Tammy), Carolyn and Della Francis.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those whoe are crushed in spirit - Psalm 34:18
