Andrew J. Zosh, 84, of Montrose, passed away at on Friday, January 17, 2014, at Regional Hospital, in Scranton, after an extended illness. His wife of 42 years, Margaret A. Zosh, survives.He was born on August 24, 1929, in Wilkes Barre, to the late, Andrew G. and Susan Homza. Also surviving are his six children and their spouses, Linda Smith, Alan Zosh, Tina and Loren Welch, Angela and William Smith, Tim Gilhool, and Ann Gilhool; seven grandchildren, Vanessa McDonald, Melinda Zosh, Loren D. Welch, Julie Klein, Caleb Smith, Kristen Smith, Jeffrey Smith; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Tom and John Zosh; sister, Madge O'Leary; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Isabelle Halliday; and two brothers, Albert and Steve Zosh.Andy served in the U.S. Army from Korea through Vietnam; he flew helicopters while in the service. He even re-upped and went to Desert Storm at 60 years of age. After his service, he worked for several security firms outside of this area until he was 80 years old.A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2014, at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home with Rev. Robert C. Ford of Elisha's Home Ministry, officiating. Interment will be in the Rush Center Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitations was held Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
