Andrew S. Bakula1922 - 2013Andrew S. Bakula, 91, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at the Hospice House.He was born on March 9, 1922 to the late Andrew S. and Anna (Nemila) Bakula in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha.On Sept. 25, 1943, he married the love of his life Elsie E. Schiller at St. Anthonys Catholic Church.Andy worked for 43 years at Snap-On Tools, retiring in 1984 as the director of manufacturing.Andy was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church.Andy enjoyed bowling, golfing, camping with family and fishing in Wisconsin and Minnesota waters with friends. He also enjoyed woodworking projects and designs resulting in treasured keepsakes for family, friends and charitable organizations.Andy is survived by his loving wife Elsie of 70 years, his loving children, Thomas (Mary) Bakula of Broken Arrow, Okla., Jerry (Cheri) Bakula of Germantown and Sharon (Robert) Paulson of Caledonia, his brother Robert Bakula of Kenosha, his eleven grandchildren and his seven great grandchildren.He is preceded in death by a grandson Robby Paulson, a sister Marianne Wojtkiewicz and an infant sister.A Mass of Christian Burial for Andy will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m. at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church (2020 91st St.). Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to Hospice Alliance.The Bakula Family would like to thank all the staff and volunteers of Hospice Alliance for the exceptional care they gave Andy during his illness.
