Amy Dianne ShirkHOLLAND: Amy Dianne Shirk, 51, of Holland, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born on November 10, 1965 in Marion, Ohio. Amy was a 1984 graduate of Marion Harding High School and later received her bachelor's degree from Kaplan University. She was employed as an operations specialist for the last 6 years with the Better Business Bureau. Amy enjoyed Halloween and loved to visit cemeteries on Halloween night. She also enjoyed going to Shawn's Irish Tavern where she could often be found with her favorite, a strawberry daiquiri. Amy loved her dog, Jeb and constantly spoiled him. She was a strong, well-loved, independent woman and will be dearly missed. Amy is survived by her daughters, Lashawnda Braddy and Taylor Doran; fiancé, Ron Hunt, Jr.; grandchildren, Alexandria, Donovan, Isiah and Xavier Lopez; mother, Carol Davis and siblings, Lisa Fruth and Tim, Randy and Terry Shirk. She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Jack Davis and Grandma Luff. Friends will be received on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Springfield Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to her daughter, Taylor Doran's educational fund, in light of her mother's passing, to pursue a career in nursing.
