Alma Ruth Little, 91, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017, in Lubbock, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ with Rev. Michael Bingham officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery (new section). Vistitation will be 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday at West Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at westfuneralhomellc.com Alma Ruth Murray Little, was born on July 2, 1926 to John Glenn Murray and Maude Gladys Brannon Murray in Kellyville, OK. She was raised in New Mexico and graduated from Hagerman High School in 1944. On August 30, 1946, she married the love of her life, John Rayburn Little in Artesia, and they were married for almost 56 years. She was blessed with 3 loving children, and after the unexpected death of her oldest daughter and son- in- law , Joy and Clifford Graves, she and John took in and raised her three grandchildren as their own. Alma was a faithful follower of the Lord and a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. She loved her family, made the best fried tacos, enjoyed reading a great book and loved watching her great grandchildren grow. She was an avid homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and talking about the Lord. She always made time to listen to everyone. She loved playing Pollyanna and enjoying anything sweet. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband John Rayburn Little; 3 Brothers: Robert Lee Murray, Olen Thomas Murray and John Clark (J.C.) Murray; a daughter Joy Lynn and son-in-law Clifford Graves; and a granddaughter Jennifer Lynn Little. Survivors include her son, Glenn Rayburn Little and wife, Donna, of Lubbock, TX; a daughter, Ruth Anne Shores and husband, Michael, of Carlsbad, NM; 3 grandchildren raised as her own, Lori Michelle Graves of Nampa, ID; Ladd Lee Graves and wife, Kristen, of Nampa, ID; Loni Lynn Tolk of Los Alamos, NM; Grandson Logan Shores and wife Lori; Grandson Jeremy Little and wife Victoria; Grandaughter Stephanie Jordan and husband Josh; Grandson Rhyne Fuller and wife Casey; Grandson Shane Fuller and wife Amber and 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Logan Shores, Jeremy Little, Josh Jordan, Michael Shores, Michael Sides and Dennis Williams. Honorary Pallbearer is Ladd Lee Graves. Honorary grandson Michael Sides.
