Maroszek, Alberta "Birdie" A.Alberta "Birdie" A. Maroszek, age 89, died Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Field of Dreams Assisted Living, Kiel where she had been a resident. Birdie was born on January 2, 1928, daughter of the late Albert and Anna (Jannsen) Snortum in Chilton. She attended school in Gravesville. Birdie married Clifford Lehmann in 1951, he preceded her in death in 1954. She married Marvin Maroszek in May of 1980, Marv preceded her in death in May 1990. Birdie was employed at the Glove Factory and Leverenz Shoe Company until marrying her loving husband Marv, when they moved to Appleton with her mother.She enjoyed traveling with Marv, playing cards, especially Cribbage, Uno and Canasta with her extended family. Birdie also enjoyed volunteering at Kiel Senior Center on Wednesdays. Birdie is survived by her Godchildren: Julie (David) Meyer and their family: Derek, Jordan and Rachel, and Ross (Lisa) Westphalen; and a special cousin: Louise Damm. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, three sisters: Geneva, Alma, and Evangeline and three brothers: Lester, Art and Oscar.Funeral Services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, 1702 Van Buren Street, New Holstein. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Azor Cigelske, with committal at Appleton Highland Memorial Park.The family will greet relatives and friend at Church from 1:00PM until the time of service at 3:00PM.The family wishes to thank Field of Dreams Assisted Living for all the care and compassion shown to Birdie during her stay.
