Alban Stewart, Jr.Alban Stewart, Jr., a lifetime resident of Tallassee, Florida passed away on Monday, April 3 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.Al was born on September 1, 1955 to Alban and Mary Nan (Harrell) Stewart. After graduating from Leon High School, Al attended Florida State University where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. While attending FSU, Al met Diane (Dominix) Stewart and they were married on July 7, 1978. Al and Diane enjoyed nearly 39 years of marriage and adventures together and with their son, Alban Stewart III. Al was a devoted husband, father and friend and a dedicated member of the Exchange Club of Tallahassee, Colonels Club, Cotillion and a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Al was a Certified Public Accountant in public practice for over 30 years. He then entered the private sector as Corporate Executive Accountant of Proctor Dealerships, Compass Marketing/Consulting, and Proctor Holding.Al is survived by his wife, Diane Stewart; son, Alban Stewart III and daughter in law, Allison Stewart and sisters, Nan Stewart and Clark Stewart. He is also survived by a nephew, Sibley Richerson; niece, Lezlee Richerson; grandniece, Harlan Jane Richerson; niece, Mary Stewart Richerson; grandnephew, Ryley Futrell and mother and father in-law, Bob and Marion Dominix.A memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 211 North Monroe Street, Tallahassee Florida on Thursday, April 6 at 3pm with Father Rick Effinger officiating. The family will greet friends in Eve's Garden following the service. The Stewart Family would like to extend our gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center and Big Bend Hospice.
