Aileen Chin, 89, of Springfield, Oregon passed away on October 24, 2016 of complications from pneumonia. She was born on December 23, 1926 to Henry and Veva Hagen in Portland, Oregon. On May 5, 1946 she married Charley Chin. They spent most of their lives in Tillamook, Oregon where they raised five children and opened their own restaurant, the Fei Ying.Aileen had many interests but gardening was among her favorites. She was a Master Gardener for many years and an advocate of organic gardening long before it became popular. Preceded in death by her husband Charley, she is survived by her children, Stephen Chin, Aileen Turley, Susan Robertson, Cathy Young, Ken Chin, brother Clarence Bare and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great, great-grandchildren.A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
