METTIMANO, AdalgisaNovember 9, 1930 – Cellino Atanazio, Teramo, ItaliaDecember 28, 2016 – Calgary, AlbertaAdalgisa Mettimano, beloved wife of Francesco Mettimano, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the age of 86 after a battle with cancer. Adalgisa was born on November 9, 1930 in Cellino Atanazio, Teramo, Italia. She was the eldest of six siblings and spent her childhood helping her mother and father work their farm. On August 23,1959 she married Francesco Mettimano. They would be blessed with two children Paula and Lucio. On October 26, 1962, Adalgisa and family arrived in Calgary to join Francesco. She spent most of her working years with the University of Calgary as a housekeeper, retiring in 1990. Her passion was her family, grandchildren, friends, cooking and baking. Adalgisa is survived by her daughter Paula (Ray) Pasquini, and son Lucio (Annunziata) Mettimano, three grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Scarcelli, Eric (Sherri) Pasquini, Melissa Mettimano, and one great-grandson, Wesley Pasquini. Brothers Tonino (Ginetta) Bosica, Artemio (Annina) Bosica, Lessandro (Biondi) Bosica, sister Maria (Nichola) Mettimano. Brothers-in-law, Silvio (Linda) Mettimano, Marino Mettimano, Claudio Mettimano, and sister-in-law, Edda Mettimano. Adalgisa was predeceased by Francisco Mettimano (2012), her husband of 53 years. Parents Rosa and Sabbatino Bosica, brother Guido (Romanine) Bosica, brothers-in-law Emidio Mettimano, and Bennito Mettimano. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, January 2, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke's Catholic Church (1566 Northmount Drive NW) on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Mausoleum.
