Abraham Luski, age 89, passed away on November 20, 2016, surrounded by his devoted family, medical team and compassionate caregivers.Abe was born on June 5, 1927 in Havana, Cuba, son of Israel and Feigl Luski and beloved husband of the late Rose Luski.He is remembered as a loving husband of 68 years, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather.Abe was a successful businessman, generous in his philanthropic endeavors and a pioneer and leader in the Charlotte real estate and Jewish communities for over 55 years.He is survived by his three children; Jacob (Joanne), Berta, and David (Cathi); siblings, Isaac (Sonia) and Marcia (Daniel) Kokiel; his 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and his extended Luski family.Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Temple Israel, 4901 Providence Rd., Charlotte with Rabbi Murray Ezring officiating. Interment will follow at Hebrew Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to the Israel Sports Center for the Disabled (ISCD) and Temple Israel.Harry & Bryant is serving the family.
