Zuleika Makhan of Georgetown, Demerara-Mahaica, Guyana, passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 92.

Born on October 17, 1933, Zuleika lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by her loving family.

She married her beloved spouse, Kedharoo, in 1953, and together they raised five wonderful children: Jean, Ruth, Shirley, Eric, and David.

Zuleika had a zest for life and was known for her infectious laughter and warm smile. She had a passion for cooking and always made sure that no one left her home hungry.

In her spare time, Zuleika enjoyed gardening and spending time with her eight cherished grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. Zuleika's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Rest in peace, dear Zuleika. You will be deeply missed.
