Wilhelmina Stuckey Holler COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Mrs. Wilhelmina Stuckey Holler, widow of the late Dr. John Emory Holler, will be held Friday, November 11, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Still Hopes Retirement Community. Visitation will follow the service in the Guignard Mansion at Still Hopes. A private family burial will be held, prior to the service, in Elmwood Cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Mrs. Holler died peacefully November 7, 2016, at her home in the Still Hopes Community. She was born on May 20, 1920, in Bishopville, S.C. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Myers Stuckey. Mrs. Holler was a graduate of Winthrop College and studied at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. After teaching public school music, she moved to Columbia where she met and married Dr. Holler. Mrs. Holler was a homemaker and together they raised five children. Mrs. Holler was an active member of Washington Street United Methodist Church where she served in various capacities in the Sunday School Department and in her circle. She was also a member of the Ann Pamela Cunningham Chapter of the DAR, the Columbia Garden Club, and Forest Lake Club. After moving to Still Hopes, she was an enthusiastic participant in many activities especially the Glee Club where she enjoyed the comradery and the music. She enjoyed spending time at their home in Lake Junaluska, NC in the summers. Over the years "Mina" set an amazing example for her family including children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Holler is survived by her children, Edith Holler Hines (Jim), the Rev. John Emory Holler, Jr. (Vicki), Georgia Holler Carnes (John), Agnes Holler Walker, all of Columbia, and Dr. Alice Holler Trouche (Perry) of Charleston; grandchildren, Edith (Edie) Holler Hines, Lucy Hines Shallenberger (Joel), Ryan VH Radiker (Kyle), John Emory Holler, III, Perry Edmund Trouche, Jr. (Louisa), Emory Trouche Willis (Don), Bennett Holler Carnes (Jennifer), Mary Myers Walker; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband; and her brothers, George Myers Stuckey, Jr. and Wistar Daniel Stuckey.
