Warren F. Dibben Jr. was born on May 4, 1932 in Flandreau, So. Dakota and passed away on October 25, 2016 in Sacramento. He served in the Dakota National Guard during the Korean Crisis in 1951, then met and married Alice Dessem in 1953. After pre-med study at the University of So. Dakota he moved his family to California in 1957 and worked for the State until graduating from Sac State in 1971. He began a new career at San Juan High School where he taught Biology and Life Science. He was also their Athletic Director and a member of the Northern California Officials Association where he later became Chairman. After 15 years of teaching, Warren went back to work for the State and completed a total of 30 years at the Department of Water Resources. He is survived by his wife Alice; children, Linda Beck, Charles Dibben Sr. (Tracey), Cathy Skelton (Stan) and Amy Schmidt (Eric); sisters Enella Sylva (Bob), Margaret Lord (Jim); 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Viewing at East Lawn Elk Grove, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd on Sun, October 30 at 2pm-5pm, and Mon. October 31 at 5pm-8pm. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 1 at 1PM in the Capital Christian Center Chapel, 9470 Micron Ave.
