~A TIME TO BE BORN~ Mr. Tarzen Towner was born on March 27, 1954 in Memphis, TN to Aristine Towner, who preceded him in death. The eldest of two, Tarzen was reared by his single mother and grandparents, Mr. Shelly and Estella Hayslett and Mr. Chester Towner, all preceded him in death. His spiritual life began when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age at Martin Temple Memorial CME Church in Memphis, TN. He later united with World Overcomers Outreach Ministries Church under the leadership of Apostle Alton R. Williams and remained a faithful servant until God called him home. 

~A TIME TO PLAN-----A TIME TO LOVE~ Mr. Tarzen Towner was a proud graduate of George Washington Carver High School. He was an Honor Student and served as Class President to the Class of 1972. He later went on to attend Xavier University of New Orleans, LA and Christian Brothers University of Memphis, TN. Tarzen was employed and retired from Anderson Tully Company after 26 years of dedicated service. In 2000, he began employment at Riviana Foods, Inc. where he retired in December of 2013. He was loved and respected by his family, church, and community. Tarzen was very loquacious and all who knew him could attest to his love for his children and family. He was a dutiful servant and had a gift of helping others. He labored in different capacities at Martin Temple CME Church. He was also a diligent servant of the Bereavement Ministry at World Overcomers Outreach Ministries Church. Tarzen was known for his winning smile, colossal heart, and immaculate appearance. Tarzen had a five-star attitude and was “first class” in everything that he did. Tee, as he was affectionately called, was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Mrs. Frances Towner, on November 19, 1998. The two best friends became one and shared a plethora of memorable moments together. In addition to being an awesome husband, he was a doting father and grandfather. His eldest child, Lawrenzo Harp, preceded him in death. 

~A TIME TO TRANSITION~ On March 23, 2021 at St. Francis Bartlett, Tarzen peacefully accepted the angels’ request to transport him to his heavenly Father. Although his presence will be missed tremendously, we rejoice in knowing He is present with the Lord. 

~A TIME TO REJOICE~ Tarzen leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Frances Towner; his children: Tonnette Towner, Tasha Towner, Latisha Harp, Andreous Harp; one granddaughter: Autumn Whitmore; two grandsons: Lawrenzo Farmer and Carter Webb; one brother: Keith Patterson; one nephew, Mauricio Hearns (Crystal); one aunt: Delores Munn, and countless cousins and friends.
