Mary "Susan" Hickman, 79, died on the 13th October, 2019 in her residence at Stone Valley Memory Care, in Reno, Nevada. Her Funeral Service will be held this Friday, the 15th November at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1135 12th St, Sparks, NV. at 11:00AM.

Susan was born on the 27th of May, 1940 in Ely Nevada. She was raised in Pioche playing and enjoying the outdoors and as a tomboy. She was pioneer for women in the field of computers, starting out as a programmer in the early 1960’s for companies like Boeing and AT&T, moving into civil service as a Data Processing manager and Program Analyst, retiring from Washoe County School District. Not only was she a pioneering business woman, she was a great mother, raising a son, loving and teaching him to love, live, and give all that he can in life. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and her Master’s Degree in Counseling.

She is survived by her Son, John and Grandson, Jeremy.
