Celebrating The Life Of
Stevie Lee Bennett affectionately known as “Jitter” was born on February 7, 1965, in Baltimore Maryland to the late Hannah and James Bennett. Jitter sadly departed his life on March 9, 2023. Jitter received the lord at an early age and knew where to turn in his time of need.
Jitter graduated from Lake Clifton High School in 1983. He joined the US Navy in 1985 where he became a certified chef and was honorably discharged in 1988. Jitter worked as a chef on various tour ships and restaurants. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, playing basketball with his uncle Charlie, cooking and spending time with his family and friends. Jitter was a bright light in our lives, that always had a kind word and a funny joke to share.
He always remained in good spirits no matter the situation with a bright smile on his face. He loved the song “Reasons” by Earth Wind and Fire. Jitter loved to laugh and crack jokes with his siblings, cousins and friends. His optimism and calm demeanor is what we will miss the most about him.
He leaves to cherish his memory one devoted daughter D’kiare Cates. One grandson Khi’are Jenkins. Step-father Calvin Cooper One sister Patricia “Patty”. Bennette-Turnage Two brothers Kenneth Bennett and Gene Bennett Two sisters in law Rene Bennett, Magdaline Bennett and one brother-in-law. Michael Turnage and His Cousin - Brother Jimme Stevenson
Four Aunts Betty Scott, Sarah Mickens Deborah Imode, Eloise Bracey One Amazing Uncle Charlie known as Charles Mickens Sr, One Great Aunt Dorothy Stevenson.
7 nieces 4 great Neice’s and 3 great nephews, and host of cousins and other family and friends. God made no mistakes when it came to awesome soul, he will forever be missed.
