Steven P. Osborne 1953 - 2020 Steven P. Osborne, 66, passed away on January 19, 2020 in Tucson, Arizona after a long illness. Born in Rockford, Illinois on March 5, 1953 son of  William F. and Rose J. (Reiland) Osborne. Attended St. Patrick’s Grade School and Boylan Central Catholic High School, class of 1971. 

Steve put his engineering prowess to work when he started Osborne Technical Group, OTG  in 1983. He loved flying whether it was in his small plane, hot air balloon or on his Harley flying down the highway. He relocated to Arizona, where “you do not shovel sunshine”  in 2006. He loved being grandpa and visited his grandchildren in Rockford as often as he could.

Steve is survived by his wife, Robin Martinez (Tucson, AZ), son, Peter (Natalie) Osborne , daughter, Kirsten Osborne, step-son, Todd Praneis, grandchildren, Hailey, Adeline, Zachary, Olivia, Ruby, Nesta, Logan, Sam, and Natalie, father, William Osborne, siblings, Thomas (Jan) Osborne, Lawrence (Rebecca) Osborne, Mary Catherine (Randall) Knutson, William (Daina) Osborne, James Osborne, Jane Turley, John (Nilsa) Osborne and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by mother, Rose Osborne (Reiland) and brother-in-law, Mark Turley. 

Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on February 29, 2020 at Stateline Church 601 N. Perryville Rd, Rockford. IL 61107. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be established later in Steve’s honor.
