1942 ~ 2016Stephen Wendell Fowler, age 73, passed away on October 17, 2016 in Murray, Utah. He was born on October 24, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wendell Crowther Fowler and Alice Ririe. He graduated from Olympus High School. He married Sandra Baird on August 2, 1986 in the Jordan River Temple.Stephen was a devoted, loving, kind, spiritual husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved people and cherished their friendship. He loved The Gospel of Jesus Christ and served an honorable mission to Germany. Steve loved doing temple work and read his scriptures faithfully every day. He always kept everyone in his thoughts and prayers. He was always supportive and proud of everyone. He treasured and cherished every minute he spent with is grandchildren and loved having them around. He was especially proud of his precious, sweet daughter, Michelle and never parted without saying, "I love you with all my heart forever."He is survived by his wife, Sandra Baird Cook Fowler; Daughter, Michelle Fowler; Step-son, Jason M. Cook; sister, Mary Fletcher; grandkids, Shawn M. Cook, Jade L. Cook and Nevaeh M. Cook; and great-granddaughter, Dejauné F. Cook. He is preceded in death by his father, Wendell C. Fowler; mother, Alice Ririe Fowler; and sister, Louise Cardon.Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Copperhills 1st Ward, 4195 S. 6000 W., West Valley City, UT. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 S., West Valley City, Utah and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 S. 200 W. Bountiful, Utah.
