Stephen Erik Washington Sr. was born on November 19,1964 in Chicago,IL to the late Roy Lee Washington and Wilma Thomas Brown. Steve was an only child, and was loved deeply by his parents.

In his early years, he was in Milwakuee, WI where he was in sports leagues playing baseball, basketball and football. During summers he would go down to Mississippi to his grandparent's farm. In his late teens he moved back to Chicago and graduated from Westinghouse High School in 1982. Steve has had many professions such as being a school custodian, a foreman painter, a chaffeur, a referee and eventually an entrepaneur by owning S T Classic Transportation. He had hobbies such as playing golf, watching and going to sport events, traveling, and hosting Bid Whist tournaments.

Steve cultivated a for love Jehovah through studying the Bible with his father Roy, and dedicated his life to Jehovah on June 19,1982. This is where the best part of his life began. He began pioneering March of 1983 and he loved doing this for 30 years of his life. In 1984, he got accepted to Brooklyn Bethel and stayed there until 1987. While in Bethel he got assigned to work on Jersey City Assembly Hall, and while there he met the love of his life Tiffani J. Mcknight. They were married on November 14,1987, and assigned to Mississippi where they served for a time. Together they became parents to 2 beautiful children Stephen Jr. and Asia.

Steve helped with various building projects. Went to serve in various states on unassigned and seldom worked territories, and traveled to Hong Kong and the Philippines for International Conventions. His greatest joy was helping others learn the truths that are found in God's word the Bible. He will be remembered for his love of people and his echoing voice, and laugh.

Steve is predeceased by his parents Roy Washington (Father), Wilma Thomas Brown (mother), and Joyce Washington (step-mother). He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife Tiffani J. Washington. His children Stephen E. Washington Jr. and Asia K. Washington. He is further survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of in laws, relatives and many friends.
