Stephen Anthony Aiello of Lyman, Maine, formerly of Essex, MA. We were blessed with Stephen Anthony Aiello for 63 years. Stephen, a loving husband, awesome father, the ultimate grampy, expert clammer and lover of food passed away November 27th after a hard fought battle with brain cancer. He was born on February 23, 1953 to the late Anthony and Jeanne (Carroll) Aiello, oldest of 6 children. He attended Saint Peters High School and graduated from Gloucester High School in 1971. A few years later he met his beautiful bride of 41 years, Susan. Stephen was a lifelong clammer in his hometown of Essex, MA. He was an avid sports fan, loved to play golf, enjoyed online poker and horse racing as well as camping with his family in Maine. After retiring to Lyman, Maine he looked forward to his side job at Yankeeland Campground and hanging out with the boys there. He cherishes his time with his daughter and granddaughter as well as laughs with his many good friends. In addition to his wife Susan (Francis) Aiello, he is survived by his daughter Rachel Aiello-Goncalves and son-in-law Ramon Goncalves and granddaughter Analise; Sisters Cathy Woodman, Cindy Tabor and her husband Teddy, Terry Gauthier and her husband Jerry; Sisters-in-law, Cynthia Francis and her husband Ed, Sandra Francis and her husband Bob; Brothers-in-law, Bobby Francis and his wife Cynde, Keith Francis and his wife Norma as well as many special nieces and nephews, Christian, Alex, Alain, Cory, Brittnie, Hillary, Zachary, Beau and Jourdan. He was also predeceased by his brothers David and Michael; Brother-in-law Larry Woodman; grandparents Sam and Florence; Niece Jeanne. Stephen lead a simple life, cherished what was important and will be remembered for his infectious laugh and great smile. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Covenant Church, 1861 Main Street, Sanford, ME.
