Solomon Johnson Jr. went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 26, 2016.

Solomon was born on July 24, 1933, in Richmond, Virginia to the late Solomon Johnson and Elizabeth Johnson.

Solomon is predeceased by Rosie J. Johnson, the mother of his children, his son Ray Charles Mitchell, and granddaughter Rachel A. Lee. He leaves to cherish his memory; his daughters Shirley Johnson, Sacramento, CA; Bernice Mitchell (Ray), Oxnard, CA; DeAnne Jackson (John), Coronado, CA; Denise Johnson, Port Hueneme, CA; Felice Johnson, Oxnard, CA; and Rachel Brown, Smyrna, GA.

Twelve grandchildren: Dante Fletcher, Shaunte’ Johnson, James Driver III (wife Naranda), Justin Mitchell, Mason Lucas III, Jumar Lucas, Sherice Driver, Tnesha Reed (husband Demond), Michael Cherry II, Zsanae Klemm, Kenyona Cherry, and De’Jon Jackson. Great grandchildren: Evalynn Fletcher, Jenni Fletcher, Dannyssa Fletcher, Alexander Fletcher, Jumarion Lucas, Nariah Driver, Jahvani Lucas, Jeremiah Hall, Serenitey-Rose Singleton, Jahniah Lucas, Syniah Reed, Jireh Reed, Reyla La Force, Arielle Reed, Steven Singleton Jr., and Omari Lucas.
