She spent a lot of time in her garden and canning food. She also loved to cook for her family, and enjoyed making food for family reunions and homecoming. Most of all, Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, and had a special place in her heart for her granddaughters who she loved to take out to eat and to go shopping. She loved to spend time on the family farm where she could be found often. Shirley was always there for her family no matter what and would help them whenever they needed her without question.
