It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shawkia Sheikh, who was born on May 5, 1929, and peacefully left this world on December 7, 2025, in Paterson, New Jersey, United States.

Shawkia was the beloved daughter of Musa Abdulaziz and Kifah Adelaide. She was the loving spouse of Zayn Sheikh, with whom she shared 69 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they were blessed with two children, Awwad Odeh and Ayoub Sheikh. Awwad is survived by his spouse Shahida Odeh, and Ayoub is survived by his spouse Rania Abuomir.

Shawkia will be remembered fondly by her family and friends. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, leaving behind 10 grandchildren who brought her endless joy and pride.

Her kindness, grace, and love will be greatly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
