FAYETTEVILLE — Sallie Pate Clark, 69, formerly of Laurinburg passed away at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center on Feb. 22, 2016.

Sallie was born on April 14, 1946 in Marlboro County, South Carolina, daughter of the late Lonnie and Betty Herring Pate. She worked in home health care before her retirement. She attended the Hope Mills Pentecostal Holiness Church and loved shopping, cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family — especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Betty Jo Curtis (Tony Curtis) of Fayetteville, sisters Betty Faye Quick and Ann Hunt of Fayetteville, and grandchildren Angelica Rusich, Cody Rusich and Landon McClenny.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday at Rogers Cemetery in McColl, South Carolina. The family will receive friends from 1- 2:30 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
