Sabina Marie Catholic Obituary

Jul 28, 1937 - Mar 05, 2019

This obituary is administered by:

A life well lived

Sabina Catholic was born on July 28, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, the eldest of six children to Lelia (née Morton) and Lampkin Hutton. She was raised and lived in Chicago all her life.

She began her education at Holy Angels Catholic Elementary school. She then attended Corpus Christi High School. Sabina was a devout Cathartic throughout her life am was active parishioner in the various Catholic congregations she attended.

Sabina met the love of her life, Jimmie Caruthers when they where in grade school at Holy Angels. They were married on September 13, 1965. From the Union, three sons were born, Joshua, Sean, and Davidmarec.

She worked various jobs throughout her life, including Candy Striper, Sales Associated, and Key puncher Operator. Sabina pursued career as a Data Entry Clark working in the private sector and the federal government, retiring from the Department of Housing and Urban Development after twenty three-years of service.

Sabina was a no nonsense, outspoken and bold woman. She also had a kind and generous spirit. Sabina was a true friend to many people. Her laughter was contagious. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. And loved to travel, especially her “Good Girlfriends”, Maybelline Davis- Lewis.

Her parents and one brother, Peter M. Hutton Preceded her in death

Sabina leaves to cherish her memory, her sons Joshua (Rochelle), Sean (Angela) and Davidmarc; one brother Gene (Theresa) Hutton; three sisters, Yokota Hutton, Marjorie Blake and carol Hutton; four Granddaughters, Jaimee, Tiana, Marissa and Kayla; one great grandson, Shaun T. and great host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Sabina will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecyand can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
