Bruntjens, Ronald "Ron" F.Ronald F. Bruntjens, 64, Green Bay, passed away on July 31, 2017, at home with his family by his side. Ron was born on December 20, 1952, in Escanaba, MI, the son of the late Peter and Jane (Larson) Bruntjens. He graduated from Gladstone High School, MI, before marrying Karen Verheyden on September, 14, 1974, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. Ron was a current supervisor at JBS and was employed for 45 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles for 15 years. Ron loved to hunt and spending time in Crivitz. He was an avid Detroit Lions fan and especially enjoyed attending and cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Karen Bruntjens; daughters, Kari Lyn (Eugene) Petitjean, Kristina (Hoang) Ha; grandchildren, Harley, Kailyn, Dylan, Tevin, Decon, and Sayde; siblings, Michael (Marilyn) Bruntjens, Marie "Bebe" (Jim) Jackovich, and Patrick (Cynthia) Bruntjens; brother-in-laws, Dick (Kathy) Verheyden, Gary Verheyden, Dale (Pam) Verheyden, Wayne Verheyden, and Mark (special friend Dana) Verheyden; sister-in-laws, Nancy (Larry) Mours, Mary Jo Molzahn, Jan (Bernie) Bukouricz, Lynn Verheyden and Julie Verheyden; and his godchild, Ross Bukouricz. Ron is further survived by many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Gabby. In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Irvin and Amy Verheyden, sister-in-law, Sharon Bruntjens, brother-in-law, Dana Molzahn and a nephew, Danny Verheyden. Visitation will be held at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., Friday, August 4, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service. Funeral service will be Friday, 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Sr. Helen Keyzer officiating. A memorial is being established. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
