Rod Jones, 50, of Richmond, Virginia, passed on August 05, 2021. Rod was born on October 01, 1970.
Mr. Rod as his students called him was Born October 1, 1970 beside his twin brother Randy Jr. to parents Gladys Loving (Mother), Randy Jones (Father).
Born 3 months premature Rod weights only 16 oz. and could fit in the palm of your hand, while is twin Randy Jr. weighed only 12 oz.
Sadly due to complications from multiples surgeries his twin Randy Jr. did not survive to the age of 5.
Rod is survived by both his parents and his only son Matt.
He also survived by many of his adopted children students around the world as Rod loved teaching Martial Arts to kids to keep them off the street.
He will be sorely missed by the community who he continued to support thru the pandemic while providing free breakfast on weekends to children in the community thru his non profit community center and karate school.
Rod was a hard working, educated and loving man, always give what he could afford to others and do for others in need.
Rod completed his MBA, Master of Business Administration at Virginia Tech and his undergraduate in Business Administration Management at UVA, University of VA.
He was also an Honorably Discharged Veteran serving in the US Marines during the Gulf War, and spent his time doing what he love training in Karate in the home of Karate, Okinawa, JAPAN.
Funeral services for Mr. Rod Jones will be private but a public memorial service will be scheduled for October 1, 2022. Jackson Memorial has been honored to assist her family during this most difficult time. Please remember Rod in your thoughts and prayers.
