Robert "Robbie" HerreraRobert "Robbie" Lee Herrera, 20, of Lafayette, passed away at 4:23 AM Saturday March 18, 2017 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth East Hospital. He was born on March 11, 1997 in Yuma, AZ and raised by his parents, Shannon and Scott Harvey, who currently reside in Lafayette. Robbie graduated from Harrison High School in 2016 and was majoring in business administration at Ivy Tech in Lafayette.  He worked at the Fiesta Mexican grill in West Lafayette. Robbie enjoyed going to school and working. He also enjoyed being in nature, drawing and photography, but skateboarding was his passion as he spent a lot of his free time at the skate park at Faith Church.Surviving with his parents is his brother, Austin Barnes (wife Briana) of Sheridan, two step brothers, Josh Nuerge (wife Chalette) of Plano, TX, and Dillon Harvey of Lafayette, and a step sister, Kelsey Nuerge of New Jersey. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Pamela and Ronnie Burgess, an aunt, Heather Burgess and two cousins, Sky Smith and Bethany Thompson all of Yuma, AZ, and his nieces, Katriel Barnes of Sheridan and Willow and Jasmine Nuerge of Plano, TX. Robbie also enjoyed the company of his cat, Miss Kitty.Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until the service begins at 7:00 PM on Friday March 24, 2017, all at the Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Faith Church Skate Park, 5526 State Road 26 E. Lafayette, IN 47905.
