Grathen, Robert "Bob"Robert L. "Bob" Grathen, age 70, of Green Bay, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017.He was born on August 16, 1946 in Green Bay to the late Jarvis & Marie (Schott) Grathen.Bob graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1964. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.He married Patricia Kruszynski on May 9, 1970 in Green Bay.Bob was employed at Procter & Gamble for 33 years before retiring as an electrician in 2001.Together with his wife Pat, they enjoyed the AKC sport of dog obedience with their Irish Setters; over the years Bob was at ringside holding "dog stuff" as Pat waited to enter the ring; he was the assistant during the frequent training sessions and most of all he spoiling the dogs. They were longtime members of Packerland Kennel Club. He was a member of the Bay Area Day Lily Buds (BAD Buds) and was known as the coffee guru. Bob is survived by his wife, Pat, of 46 years; siblings, Gary (Jean) Grathen, Michael (LouAnn Zegers) Grathen, Mary Grathen and Paul (Pam Stencil) Grathen; brother-in-laws, Michael (Kay) Kruszynski and Robert (Jeanene) Kruszynski; sister-in-laws, Susan (Ken) Hoffmann, Lisa (Antonio) Chapa and Kim (David) Burbach; mother-in-law, Dolores Kruszynski; his beloved Irish Setter, Zelda UDX5 OM6; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by brother, Thomas (Judy) Grathen; father-in-law, Henry Kruszynski; and many more Irish Setters that have met him at the Rainbow Bridge.Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at St. Philip the Apostle Parish, 312 Victoria St., Green Bay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am at the church on Thursday. To leave a message for the family, please visit www.NewcomerGreenBay.comIn lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.Bob's family would like to extend a special thank you to the Good Samaritan that administered CPR to Bob, and also the woman in the green jacket who held Pat in her arms; to the first responders who assisted, as well as the Brown County Deputy that calmed Pat as they rode to the hospital and, finally to the ER team at Bellin Hospital. Bob, you gave me so much love; I will keep our good memories in my heart forever.
