She raised her granddaughter Tamika as her own and supported her endeavors such as attending her cheerleading competitions. She also supported her other grandchildren at their graduations and various activities. She became a full time caregiver and ran a daycare for all her grandchildren and non-relative kids. For 14 years she faithfully cared for her husband wher he became ill. She was a woman who supported and encouraged your dreams, desires, talents, gifts and calling in the ministry.
She was raised in the church and received Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord on December 31, 1956 under Pastor Narbell Sweet of Original Church of God and later joined Evangelistic Tabernacle of Christ under Pastor Ora L. Clayton. In September 1968 she became a Prophetess and she started a Church as Co-Pastor with her husband Willie J. Reese under the Charter of Holy Temple Church of God in Cleveland, Ohio. She was not a perfect woman but strived to please the Lord and lead by example. She taught Sunday School, played the tambourine and would sing in a key that was not on the keyboard and adlib the words. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, very loud. She loved attending church and loved her church family. She lived what she preached and prayed without ceasing for anyone in need. One of her ministries was daily calling various people on the phone, to encourage and comfort them and she gave all the glory and praise to God. Her phone rang from 9am-9pm and she was a conversationalist.
She was very thankful and grateful for everything that you did for her and would strive to let you know. Like her husband she was very protective of her family and anyone she loved. She put God first, husband and family second, and ministry third. She will be truly missed, but her legacy will live on in all those that she left behind.
