Ms. Phyliss was born August 10th, 1948, to her late mother, Sue Gayden and father Gilbert Ray Lee, in Mobile, Alabama.

Phyliss loved following her mother in the kitchen and being daddy’s little girl. At a young age, Phyliss introduced young Anthony Gayden Sr. to the world, whom she loved with all her heart. While being the best mother she could be, Phyliss worked 30 years for the IRS where she retired in 2016 to begin her journey.

Phyliss leaves behind a host of brothers and sisters who reside in Alabama, New Orleans and Texas; one child, two grandchildren, Monae Lee and Anthony Gayden Jr.; a daughter in law, Lakeisha Gayden and her late husband, Robert Evans Gayden.
