Pearl Grant, a beloved member of the Brooklyn community, passed away on April 29th, 2023 at the age of 65 at her home. Born on June 4th, 1957, Pearl was the daughter of Edwin Mclellan and Ester York. She grew up in a loving family and was the younger sister of two brothers.
Pearl had a happy childhood in Brooklyn, New York. She attended local schools and went on to graduate from City College of New York. After graduation, she started working at Berkshire Medical Center, where she spent many years of her life as a dedicated employee, taking care of patients with utmost care and compassion.
Pearl met the love of her life, Richard Grant, at a local church service. Together, they raised three children. Her children, Stacy Phillip, Wendy Hubbard, and Acil York, were the center of her universe. Her love for them and her grandchildren was unconditional and unwavering, and she always put her family's needs before her own.
Pearl was a woman of many talents and interests. She had a passion for music and would often be found humming to her favorite tunes. She also loved gardening and spent countless hours tending to her flower beds. Her green thumb was evident in her beautiful garden, which was filled with a variety of colorful blooms.
Pearl gave back to her community in many ways. She volunteered at local shelters and food banks, and was always quick to help someone in need. Her kind and generous nature touched the lives of many, and she will be missed dearly by those who knew her.
Pearl is predeceased by her Wendy and her son Acil. She is survived by her daughter Stacy and her five grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her brothers, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Pearl will be remembered for her kind heart, radiant smile, and unwavering faith. Her legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched during her time on earth.
