Patricia Ann "Patty" Hamlet was born December 3, 1957 to William Madison Hamlet and Nannie Rose (Barksdale) Hamlet in Newark, New Jersey. She departed this life on Saturday, January 28, 2017. She was employed by D & W Fine Pack as a Line Inspector.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Son, Lovell Hamlet of Fort Wayne; two Daughters, Erica Hamlet and Tamica Hamlet both of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Father, William M. Hamlet of South Orange, New Jersey; Brother, James (Rose) Hamlet of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two Sisters, Carmen M. Hamlet of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Linda Hamlet of South Orange, New Jersey; 11 Grandchildren: Tiana, Quianna, Porshsa, Ziquesha, Tierra, Anya, Tavion, Anthony, Amarrion, Ahman, and Darrien; 9 great-grandchildren; Special Nephews, Quantrell Hamlet, Antonio Hamlet, Brandon (Precious) Hamlet-Davis, and James Lewis;  Special Nieces, Rakita Davis-Rogers all of Fort Wayne, and Chantel Hamlet- Milligan, South Orange, New Jersey of South and Tiana Hamlet-Brown, Allentown, PA, and  a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Mother Nannie Rose Hamlet, and Brother, Anthony "Dunk" Hamlet.
