Pastor Lionel Hardin SR., 54, of Chicago, Illinois, passed on June 16, 2021. Pastor Lionel was born on January 18, 1967. He is the son of Willie & Emma Hardin. Born on January 5, 1967 in Sallies Mississippi. A loving husband, father, grandfather and pastor to many.
A life-long resident of Chicag, IL. he was the proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. in 1998 Lionel became pastoring Light House Christian center, under the leadership of his dad Elder Willie Hardin. He was a lover of communit, who lived his life giving away what he had- frequently provided his church to house homeless and friendship to those in nee. He lived by Matthew 25: 37-40 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
He was a proud servant of God and therefore we celebrate not his death, but his life, legacy and his entrance into the heavenly Kingdom.
He is survived by his wife Sybil Hardin, his parents Wille & Earnestine Hardin, his sisters- Rosetta Harrell (Luther) Tammy Hall (John); his brothers- Richard Hardin (Lynnette), and Lewis Hardin (Cheryl); his children- daughter; Candace Thompson ( Jamal), Alicia Ola (Temitay), Brittany Hardin; his sons: Brian Hardin (Robin), Alex Hardin (Travis); grandchildre; Dania Thompson, Robert Hardin, William Hardin, BrIan Hardin JR., Jordyn Hardin, Jett Thompso, Brianna Thompso, Ari Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his brother Anthony Hardin, his son Christopher Hardin
