Verdett Martin passed away peacefully at Bayshore Medicale Center in Houston, TX on August 22, 2020 at the age of 84.

Verdett is survived by his daughters Vernessa Bullin and Pamela Garrado, his siblings Ethel Brown, Luther Waites and Pinkie. He is preceeded in death by his beloved wife Edna Martin, his parents, and his siblings Opzenia and Llyod Cecil.

Verdett Martin was born May 18, 1936 to Tom Martin and Ocie Fort in Hooks, Texas. Verdett was a faith husband and compainion to Edna Martin. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his many children.

Verdett was handsome and adventurous. He loved to garden and he was an excellent cook. He made the best fried chicken! Cornel Sanders didn't have nothing on him. He was an exceptional man and he will be greatly missed.
