Mildred Bass Parks "Millie" October 10, 1922 - November 7, 2016 Lizella, GA- Mildred Parks, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, November 7, 2016. She was born on October 20, 1922 in Macon, Georgia to the late Willie Jo Bass and Bertha Mae McDowell Bass. Visitation will be held at First Evangelical Church, 30601 Fulton Mill Road, Macon, Georgia on Thursday, November 10 at 2:30 and the service will follow at 3:30. Burial will be private. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William Carr Parks, daughter, Sherry Jones and granddaughter, Amy Kasel; Brothers, Milton Bass, Julian Bass, Herbert Bass and sister, Louise Barnes (Jimmy) and brother-in-law, Warren Fish. Those left to cherish her memory are: sister, Evelyn Fish, brother, Jack Bass, her children, Billy Wayne (Johnnie) Parks, Linda (Jack) Grant, Corine (Gary) Hobbs, Jo Ann (Tom) Kasel, May (Nicholas) Morga, and son-in law, Randy Jones. Grandchildren: Kelly Parks, Elisha (Randy) Amos, Mark (Andrea) Grant, Carla (Don) Pruitt, Carmen (Chris) Wright, Timothy Kasel, Wendy (Mike) Cook, Cindy (Chris) Hancock, Jennifer (Bobby) Williams, Angel (Ben) Harvey, Nicholas Morga and Carr Jones. Great grandchildren: Grant and Derrick (Caitlyn) Clinard, Michael and William Allen, Evan and Laurel Grant, Parker, Payden and Payne Pruitt, Camryn and Charlie Wright, Clayton Kasel, Sydney Tripp, Kade Cooke, Jackson and Carson Hancock, Tate, Landon and Jake Williams, and Charlie Harvey. She retired from Robins AFB after more than 26 years of civilian service. She was a member of First Evangelical Church and loved her church family. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She remained a devoted Braves fan, to the end, she lived life to the fullest, and leaves a tremendous legacy behind. Please join us in the celebration of her life.
