Maybell Louise Scott, 72, passed on October 15, 2022. She was born to Gerald Harris and Louise Scott in Oakland, California on January 05, 1950.

Together they raised 8 children Melvin Sykes (Mattie Dean), Michelle Sykes, Michael Sykes, Lavon Benson, Terry Sykes , Christopher Kelly, Christian Kelly, Twila Sykes. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren.

Maybell graduated from Vally High School in 1963 and received a degree from the California Community college in 1967.

Maybell worked at Register nurse until she retired in 1997 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. She also volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club in 1998-2000.
