On May 19, 2004 a princess was born. 19 inches and 8 lbs of beauty and poise . Maya Shavonne Green “nana” was an aspiring ultrasound tech with hopes and dreams of one day becoming a wife and mother. When asked to use one word to describe maya, the first word that comes to mind is “spontaneous” . Although she only reached 19 years , some would say she lived 100 lives. From dancer to artist to actress to cheerleader to ultrasound tech maya was always determined to be whatever she put her mind to. She loved her family so much and was often the go-to person if they ever needed anything. She especially loved her 2 little sisters in which she spent the most time with. What Tracy remembers about maya the most is how funny she was. She wasn’t afraid to say what others were thinking, she was honest and she cared a lot about others. All the way to the after life , she cared for others, she wanted everyone to know that the pain and suffering was over .here’s an excerpt from maya herself . “ I imagine a warm happy feeling in my heart. Like when I was little, when my birthday would come, how happy I felt, I imagine I feel like that. No worries, no pain just happiness. I’d be in a field of sunflowers, it’ll be warm, the air would be so breezy yet warm against my skin. I’d think about all the ones I love, and what it’ll be like when we meet again. I’d think about all the happy moments. Everything will smell good, I’ll love everyone in the after life and they’ll love me, I’d never be lonely. Pain , mental or physical will never exist.” . Forever in our hearts .
