Mary lewis, 81, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed on June 09, 2021. Mary was born on October 14, 1939. Mary Maggie Lean Lewis, husband of the late Bryant Lewis of Brooklyn New York, passed away June 09, 2021 at the New York Mount Sinai, St Lukes Hospital. Mary Lewis loving nick named “Big Momma”

Born October 14, 1939 in Scotland County North Carolina, she was the daughter of Minnie Lee Moore and Thomas Jones. Mrs. Lewis attended Clara Barton High School, and then pursued a formal education in nursing.  She later registered with the Board of Education of the City of New York and was employed as a teacher for Brooklyn Temple Seventh Day Adventist Church School.

She is survived by sons: Walter of Queens, NY and Presley of Staten Island, NY; daughters: Ruby of Staten Island, NY and Bernadine of Brooklyn, NY; 8 grandchildren: Tianna, Latheysia, Donald, Jeremiah, Danajah, Brianna, Kayla, and Presley Jr.  Mary is also survived by her sister Ruby of Brooklyn, NY and by several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her 2 sons Bryan and George she was predeceased by her sister Joyce and her 2 brothers T.C. and James.
