This obituary is administered by:

In Loving Memory

With deepest sorrow , we announce that Marques Sanders , Age 27 , our most beloved son , brother , family member & friendĀ  passed away regrettably on July 22 ,2020, At Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wi. Those who knew Marques, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.

Ā

As one of his close friends said ,ā€œWhat you saw was always what you got with him, and what you saw ā€“ if you were lucky enough to be his friend ā€“ was a truly enchanting , generous, easy-going, fun-loving human being.ā€

Ā

Marques had so much goodness, so much capacity to bring happiness to others and such a bright future. The world is a lesser place without him.He loved being around family and friends. Marques was the life of the party and loved to dance and have a good time. He also loved to play video games in his free time and could be found sketching designs of shoes.

Ā

Ā

Marques will be missed everyday by his Father, Marvin Sanders , his Mother, Teresa, brother Marvin Sanders Jr , his Sisters Jasmine, Zhania,Niazha, & Nakaiya, his Grandparents, his loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many, many great friends.

Ā

We know Marques is now with his cousin Clemon "Gee" Ferguson Jr and will be loved here on earth as well as in heaven.

Build Me a Son, O Lord

Ā

Build me a son, O Lord, who will be strong enough to know when he is weak, and brave enough to face himself when he is afraid; one who will be proud and unbending in honest defeat, and humble and gentle in victory.

Ā

Ā

Build me a son whose wishbone will not be where his backbone should be; a son who will know Thee and that to know himself is the foundation stone of knowledge. Lead him, I pray, not in the path of ease and comfort, but under the stress and spur of difficulties and challenge. Here let him learn to stand up in the storm; here let him learn compassion for those who fail.

Ā

Ā

Build me a son whose heart will be clean, whose goal will be high; a son who will master himself before he seeks to master other men; one who will learn to laugh, yet never forget how to weep; one who will reach into the future, yet never forget the past.

Ā

Ā

And after all these things are his, add, I pray, enough of a sense of humor, so that he may always be serious, yet never take himself too seriously. Give him humility, so that he may always remember the simplicity of greatness, the open mind of true wisdom, the meekness of true strength.

Ā

Ā

Then I, his father, will dare to whisper, ā€œI have not lived in vain.ā€ (General Douglas MacArthur)

Ā

Ā

A private celebration of life service for Marques will be held at a later date.Ā
