Marie married Brown Hyet in 1989, and they lived together in Brooklyn. She also volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club in 2015 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people.

Marie is survived by her children, Anthony and Andrew Francis. She also is survived by 6 grandchildren.
