Marcelina 'Martha' Guevara MartinezLogan - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Marcelina Martinez passed away on July 3, 2014. She was born on May 17, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lee Guevara and Esther Gonzalez. Marcelina spent her youth in Salt Lake City. She married Max Martinez, they were later divorced.Marcelina's home was always a place where lost souls could find rest. She not only cared for her own family, she cared for anyone in need of help. She had an open heart and open door to everyone.Marcelina was a joy. She was always telling jokes or causing a bit of mischief that made everyone around her smile and laugh.She is survived by her children, Benita (Rachel) Maldonado, Victor (Debbie) Martinez, Ruth Martinez Garcia, Colleen Rocha, Anthony (Maria) Martinez, Penney (Frank) Archuleta, and Fernando (Angie) Martinez. She is survived by a brother, Nephi Guevara Florez. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and all of those she touched with her love and generosity.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends may call Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
