Maibell Thomas Chapman , 87, of Richmond, Virginia, passed on May 07, 2021. Born on January 21,1934. Meeting in Heaven her Husband Marshall Chapman of 30 plus years and Son David Chapman. Leaving to live her legacy 4 children . Sharon Chapman (William Fields) , Carolyn Swanson (Larry Swanson), Craig Chapman (Diana Chapman), and Paul Chapman. 7 grandchildren to include Terrell, Ciara, Sharonda, Gladys, Lamar, Spencer, and Carlher.

Maibell affectionately known as Mai was known for her good food and authentic laughter. Always a joy in the kitchen hosting family gatherings and celebrating everything under the son. Graduating from Thomas Jefferson Highschool where she met her Husband Marshall. From that created 5 children. One who meets her in heaven. They lived a full life until his untimely death while serving in the Navy.

Mai attended VUU where she studied Nursing. Earning her degree as a Registered Nurse.
Working as an RN for 15 years at MCV Hospitals. Where she helped countless of people when they needed it the most. Bringing hope, compassion and skills. She later retired 15 years after, still volunteering her love and joy for years after.

Mai well known for her cooking found joy in volunteering her services at the neigboorhood functions and church services. A woman of God, member of The Church Of Christ for over 20 years. Singing in the choir and learned the piano she was a devoted member. She lived her life serving God, helping others and keeping peace and joy in everybody heart.

Her legacy she would want to continue through the remberence of her good dead's and genuine heart. Today is not for tears but for joy that her Heart is Free and her laughter shall continue through the mouths of those she loved.
